i don't know why i even watch the oscars. 4 hours of the same 4 movies and actors being nominated. but, i ended up watching it again this year just to see who looks like shit, who looks good, who's had surge lately. to recap the 2005 ocars:
- hilary swank - great bod, man face
- the spaniard sisters penelope cruz and salma hayek - keep your mouth closed and you'll look beautiful
- beyonce - leave the ballads to celine
- jamie foxx - enough already
- halle berry - love the hair
- sean penn - love you, but relax
- charlize theron - can never go wrong
- renee zelwegger - is now asian
- johnny depp - when you're that hot, the only way to go is down
- kate winslet - gorgeous
- scarlett johansson - drop the i'm-a-sophisticated-actress act. you're just a 19 year old tramp that got it on with benicio del toro
- natalie portman - natural beauty
- annette bening - on the same path as melanie griffith
- gwenyth paltrow - the best she's ever looked, even though she's on the outs with mr. martin

the oscars give starbucks a run for their money as far as commercialism goes. the only reason to watch them is to code who got the best smack in town.... usually won annually by jack nicholson. oh yeah, one last thing... i'm not a religious man, but thank god no fuckin' billy crystal this year.
